Digestion System

When I did the lab I learned a lot of things about how foods break down and how my digestion system works. One very cool thing I never new is that in your stomach there is acid that breaks down your food so it could move on to your small intestine. That acid in your stomach is what I worked with while the lab. That acid liquid is called hydrochloric acid, hydrochloric acid is very dangerous and can burn into anything. We had test tubes and saw how each tubes broke down the egg white better. It was the hydrochloric acid that broke down the egg white better, but it took a long time. Hydrochloric acid takes along time to break down food because that’s why food in our bodies take a long time to leave our bodies. I had a lot of fun doing this lab and I hope we do something fun like this again.
